      "Dad (John) loved to play the guitar and paint.  He also loved to tell stories of the past.  He never told a story that wasn't funny.  He enjoyed laughing.  He only listened to the older country music like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.  He read Carlos Castineda books and The book of the Urantia was one of the many topics that came up during nearly every visit.  He was exceptionally spiritual." - Beth Rambish

       "He served in Vietnam in 1968.  His journal says he was Long Range Recon. 50th infantry 9th division before his entire platoon was killed.  He was the only survivor."
